Each friend you meet here has been thoughtfully handmade by Nicolene, each with their own story, dreams, and personality. Some of them are still looking for their forever homes, some can be made just for you, and some are already off on adventures of their own. No matter their journey, every friend from Flosswood Meadow has a special place in our hearts — and now, yours too 💕

Meet Karien 🐰 She is a firm believer that “life is short, eat the cake”. Karien is passionate about food and spends hours in the kitchen creating the most mouthwatering, delicious and nutritious meals 🍝
Carrots are her favourite ingredient to use 🥕 and carrot cake is her favourite thing to bake 🍰 Karien has baked over 500 carrot cakes and has now perfected her carrot cake recipe 😋
Only the freshest and crispiest carrots are used in her cake creations and she is always on the hunt for the best carrots. On weekend mornings you will find her at local farmer markets testing, tasting and inspecting the carrots 🥕
The carefully selected carrots are taken home to be transformed into the sweetest most delectable cakes 🎂 These cakes are then sold to coffee shops in her hometown, Hartbeespoortdam. Her cakes are well loved and usually sells out within a few hours 🍰
Karien is willing to live with a loving family that has a “sweet tooth” 🦷 She is sure to spoil you with the best cakes!
Esti
Meet Esti the elephant 🐘Esti was born in Botswana. She migrated with her family to South Africa when she was still a little girl 🇿🇦
Esti and her family are known for their exceptional long term memory and they seldom forget facts. Their family, in particular, has always had a way with numbers 🔢
Esti uses her numbering skills as a bookkeeper at Addo National Elephant Park. The park has been her home and sanctuary for many years and she hopes to one day raise her family there 🌳
One shouldn’t be fooled by thinking that Esti is just plain and serious! On weekends she enjoys swimming 👙 in the lovely, cool water 💦 of the park’s dams while sipping her Amarula Cream Martini 🍸
She will be a lovely addition to your home and her great numeracy might even rub off on your children 😉
Amanda
eet Amanda mouse 🐭 Amanda is a real “city mouse” and was born and raised in Hyde Park, Sandton. Her parents were quite the distinguished pair and placed a lot of value on hard work, good morals and excellent manners 🎀
They introduced Amanda to the best classical music the world has to offer and often took her with them to enjoy the finest orchestras locally and abroad Amanda fell in love with the complexity of Baroque music and was enthralled by the depth and harmony of Mozart’s compositions 🎶
Weekly piano lessons from the age of four turned Amanda into an extraordinary pianist 🎹 and inspired her to complete her Bachelor’s of Music at Wits University 👨🏼🎓
Amanda always wanted to share her love for music with other kids and she now works as a music teacher at one of the most prestigious high schools in Johannesburg 🏫 Her dream is to develop music programs for underprivileged kids so that they too can experience the joy of music and playing instruments
Amanda is ready to join a loving family. She is sure to fill your home with the most beautiful sounds 🎶
Claudia
Meet Claudia the cat 😺 Claudia grew up with her 5 siblings, mom and dad on their family farm in Reitz, Free State 🐄 Claudia, the youngest in the family, always showed a particular interest in eccentric fashion and as a little girl she preferred bright and colourful outfits 👗
She often felt frustrated with her boring, dull school uniform 😴 During Afrikaans class she fantasised about transforming her uniform into something special. Her notebook was filled with exciting design ideas and little “Afrikaanse spelreëls” ✍🏼
The matric farewell was the absolute highlight of her school career 🏫 Claudia designed the most exquisite farewell dresses for herself and her friends! It was during this time that she realised that fashion design was the way forward for her 😀
It took some time to persuade her dad to pay for her fashion schooling. He was convinced that all clothes are equal and did not even realise that there is a difference between a skirt and a dress😲👗
He eventually agreed to enroll Claudia into FEDISA Fashion School in Cape Town. Claudia is currently still a student at this highly prestigious fashion design school and is working hard to become the next best fashion designer in South Africa 🇿🇦
She is willing to live with a friendly family that will embrace her sense of style 🧥
Julia
Meet Julia 😺 Julia grew up with her 6 siblings in Durban. From a very young age she stood out amongst her brothers and sisters as the kitty with very refined taste buds 👅
Julia could clearly distinguish between canned salmon and fresh salmon and she was quickly labelled as a “picky eater.” Her mother often had her hands full with her little Julia 🥘 that requested only the best food for her refined palette.
Julia’s mother was a smart lady and came up with a brilliant solution. She enrolled Julia into culinary and cooking classes as soon as Julia was able to read and write ✍🏼
Julia blossomed in culinary class and quickly took over all of the household cooking 🔪 She later went on to study as a Food Technologist where she was able to further her in depth knowledge about food 🥝
Today you can find Julia in the research and development department of Ultra Pet in Westville. She loves developing only the best cat food and knows what it takes to make kitty taste buds happy 😄
Julia is ready to live with a family that will love her ❤️ she is sure to spoil you with the most delicious food creations 🌮🌭🍛
Tina and Baby Katy
Tina and baby Katy 🐻🍼 Mamma Tina and baby Katy resides in Bloemfontein🌹Katy is the sweetest little baby bear and loves naps, milk and outings with her mamma.
Tina loves taking care of little Katy and is currently taking a break from her job as a human resource manager. She enjoys exploring Bloemfontein with her bundle of joy and is grateful to have this time with Katy 🐻
Mamma Tina has a stylish linen baby carrier that she uses to take Katy on lovely morning walks 🌄 Katy loves her cosy carry cot and spends many hours snuggled in under her plush blanket ❤️

More about Vincent 🐭 Vincent grew up in Amsterdam, Netherlands where his family owns a thriving cheese factory 🧀
During his teenage years he longed for a new adventure and set on travelling across the world 🌎
South Africa was the country that ultimately stole his heart. He was captivated with the vast cultural diversity, friendly people, sunshine and exquisite cuisine 🫒🫘🥘
He now works at Lactalis SA’s cheese factory in Ladismith where he shares his in-depth cheese production knowledge 🧀

Nestled in a sun-dappled corner of Prince Albert, the Embroidery Bunny spends her days surrounded by hoops, threads, and cups of chamomile tea ☕🪡
She’s the quiet, clever kind — with paws that work patiently and eyes that spot beauty in the smallest stitches. Her linen apron is always dusted with bits of thread, and she carries a tiny pincushion in the shape of a heart 💛

She’s the tiniest member of Flosswood Meadow — with velvety ears, rosy cheeks, and a gentle yawn that could melt even the chilliest morning 
She wears a soft pink dress and matching pink bonnet, stitched with love and perfect for the tiniest tea parties and nap-time cuddles 💕
Little Bunny loves lullabies, morning cuddles, and warm milk in a dainty bottle. Her best friend is a patchwork bunny blanket named Bibi, and the two are inseparable during nap time

My Bestie doll Elmien
Meet little Elmien. She is a loving doll with a kind heart and a passion for teaching young children.
Elmien has a special way of bonding with the little ones and she is well loved for her patience and playfulness.
Other than children, Elmien loves stylish outfits, exploring little coffee shops and reading quality books.
She has a special interest in speech development and is currently furthering her studies as a Speech Therapist at Hope, pediatric and medical centre, in Dubai.
Elmien plans on returning to her beloved hometown, Pretoria, once her studies abroad are done. Children from all over the “Jakaranda stad” miss Elmien terribly and can’t wait for her safe return. They are excited to one day be reunited with their beloved “tannie Mien” at her cosy, sunny therapy room for valuable learning and playtime.

Meet Matilda 🐭 from Klerksdorp. Matilda works as a receptionist at a busy dental practice 🪥
She loves children and enjoys interacting with the little patients that come to visit the dentist 🦷 Matilda realises the importance of good dental health and she often advocates for affordable dentistry in all areas of the North West Province.
She spends her free time writing and illustrating books that teach children about proper dental care 📚

Pappa bear and mamma bear met each other at a mutual friend’s braai. They instantly fell in love and got married soon after ❤️
They now reside in Irene, Centurion. Pappa bear works as an accountant for a big firm. Mamma bear takes care of baby bear at home and she bakes the most delicious cakes for a popular coffee shop in the Irene area 🍰☕

Lilly is a quiet bunny with a very big heart. She collects pressed flowers in handmade journals, writes little notes of encouragement to her neighbours, and believes that a good hug and a cup of chamomile tea can solve almost anything

Herman grew up on a farm in the Karoo. Travelling was always part of his childhood dream…
After matriculation he packed his bags and set off to Paris – his dream destination. He truly enjoyed the French culture, but after a few years he longed for the South African sun, open spaces and friendly people 🇿🇦
He now resides in Rosendal where he runs a stunning wedding venue.
Herman the lamb 🐑 is 34cm and made from pure Irish linen. He wears a cute dungaree, grey beret, wool scarf and socks.

Coco & Rufus
Coco and Rufus grew up on a little flower farm just outside Franschhoek. From the moment they opened their eyes, they were each other’s shadow — always tumbling through wildflowers, chasing butterflies, and sharing every nap spot they could find. 🌸🦋
Coco, with his green trousers and cheerful bowtie, is the playful optimist — always ready for a garden game or a puddle jump. Rufus, in his classic gingham dungarees, is the gentler soul — curious, clever, and a quiet collector of rocks, feathers, and heart-shaped leaves.
They adore sunny mornings, soft blankets, and long walks (especially when there’s a snack stop along the way). Most of all, they love making new friends — and they’re always excited to join a new home where adventures, laughter, and cuddles await. 🏡

This is intentional. Just like no two people are exactly the same, each doll is given her own unique personality, outfit, and finishing touches. By making only a few of each kind, Nicolene ensures every doll remains special, personal, and truly one-of-a-kind.
This also allows the range to stay fresh and ever-evolving, with new characters, colours, and stories arriving regularly — just like in real life.

Mamma Tina and little Katy are a once-in-a-lifetime pair — lovingly handcrafted and never to be made again. They currently reside in Bloemfontein, where Katy enjoys her days filled with milk, naps, and quiet outings with her mamma.

Katinka
Katinka is a one-of-a-kind doll with a graceful spirit and a heart full of dance. She was born and raised in Swakopmund, Namibia, where her love for ballet began at a very young age. Always twirling, always moving — dance was in her bones from the start.
Recognising her passion, her parents enrolled her in local classes, and soon her dream grew bigger. Katinka applied to The Royal Ballet School in London — and was chosen from thousands of hopefuls to train at this world-renowned academy.
After years of hard work and stage lights, Katinka returned to South Africa and settled in the serene town of Knysna, where she now runs her own ballet school. Teaching little ones and watching their eyes light up with the joy of dance is her dream come true.
Katinka will never be made again, making her a truly special keepsake. With her rich story and graceful presence, she’s is bringing a little magic and movement to her forever home.
